Barrel marked I. Weinborner in Fulda. Beautiful rifle - ornately carved and inlaid. Has ramrod. Engraved stock - lockplate and trim. Has sling swivel. Octagon barrel. Barrel is 31 1/2 inches long. Very good condition. Stock solid with expected scratches - occasional chip and ding. Beautiful antique rifle. Circa 1850 .40 Caliber Bench Rifle

Lot # 210 (Sale Order: 210 of 242)
Known as an Indiana Cap Lock Bench Rifle. Tagged as a .399. Has 36 inch octagon barrel. Comes complete with ramrod. Tiger maple style stock. Adjustable rear sights. Original rear sights have been removed. Trigger guard - tang and side plate engraved. Metal portion of grip has crack - see picture. Stock solid and in wonderful condition with minor dings and wear. Trigger appears to be in working order. Bore unknown. Marked Mathesie on lock. Mathesie family is documented in Indiana history. Elder Mathesie was originally in charge of Napolean's gunsmith department and settled in Indiana 1846. Extremely heavy - rifle weighs over 16 pounds. Will be shipped by Celtic Armory at standard $35 long gun rate with possible additional charge due to weight.

Circa 1920 Flobert Lifting Block Rifle

Lot # 75 (Sale Order: 75 of 268)
Caliber is .22 Flobert. Rifle is missing block so is unfireable. Belgian proof marks on barrel. Checkered stock. Barrel is 23 1/2 inches long - octagon. Nice patina. Missing front screw to stock. Stock has damage on both sides near breach. Ornate trigger guard. Great old collectible rifle. Definite wall-hanger. Would display beautifully in any cabin - office or den.


G R Douglas .40 Cal Black Powder Rifle -Customized

28 inch octagon barrel marked G R Douglas .40 Cal. Customized by J. O. Whalen Tucson AZ Circa 1970. Fancy cap box in stock. Multiple old parts. Has ramrod. Stock solid. Neat old percussian cap rifle.


Wm Craig Circa 1861-62 Bench Rifle - Muzzle Loader

Lot # 77 (Sale Order: 77 of 268)
Caliber unknown. 34 inch long octagon barrel marked Craig & Musgrave Pittsburgh on top. Barrel has wonderful patina. Target sights. Appears to have had custom sights installed long ago. Stock solid. Wonderfully curved butt plate. Appears to be original ramrod. Stock has expected wear but no visible cracks or loss other than wear to finish and occasional scratch. This rifle was built for accuracy and could be fired with the barrel resting on a bench. Great antique rifle. Purchased by Estate in Southern Indiana circa 1945. Extremely heavy at 16.2 pounds.  
ADDED INFO 5/22/13 Markings “WM Craig” on breach block, “Cast Steel” “Craig & Musgrave Pittsburgh” on the top of the barrel. The Craig & Musgrave was used in 1861-1862. 


J Griffith Circa 1850s Bench Rifle - Muzzle Loader

Lot # 78 (Sale Order: 78 of 268)
35 inch barrel stamped J Griffith Louisville Ky on barrel. Long distance sights. Heavy octagon barrel. Stock appears to have been shortened at some point. Stock is solid - no cracks or loss visible. Missing one trim piece on forestock. Original sight location has been filled. Curved butt. Wonderful old bench rifle. Meant to be fired with barrel resting on bench for stability. Very heavy at 20 1/2 pounds. Purchased by estate in Southern Indiana circa 1945. 
ADDED INFO 5/22/13- Markings under the barrel and stock “Allen & Thurber” “Cast Steel” “L” over “D.C. ADDICKS”. Rear sight is not original. The barrel has three rear sight dove tail grooves. The first and third are filled with something and the rear sight is mounted over the second. The front sight shroud isn’t original. Top of barrel is marked with J. Griffith, Louisville, KY. “Allen & Thurber” was a manufacturer name used by Ethan Allen between 1837 and 1854. D.C Addicks is the name of a traditional gunmaker from the early 20th century and probably was the one to make the modifications on this one.

Extremely RARE 1943 WWII Union Switch & Signal Company Military Issue 1911 A1 45 Auto

Rare All Original 1943 Military Issue! U.S.&S. pistols are the second rarest of the M1911A1s (55,000 produced), only the Singer is rarer (500 produced). None of the Union Switch & Signal 1911A1s have the crossed cannons ordnance stamp even though the practice was standardized in late 1942. This Pistol was produced in approx. March of 1943! Nice model 1911 with US Military holster. This Pistol was purchased by consignor’s father in 1985 from a personal advisor to President Lynden B Johnson and who was flown by Johnson on many missions to Vietnam and other locations. Will come with signed letter of Provenance. Frame marked United States Property M1911 A1 US Army With USS Trademark. Very good overall condition with wear to finish.

S&W Highway Patrolman Model 28 357 Mag

Wonderful Highway Patrolman revolver with original grips. Great firing condition. Double action. Bluing 85% +/- with expected holstering wear. Left grip has crack at top but tight and not all the way through. Nice tight action. Barrel length 6 inches. 

Smith & Wesson Detectives Special .38 S&W

Wonderful conceal carry Smith & Wesson revolver with nickel finish. Double action. Some wear at muzzle - expected carry wear. Original grips - in excellent condition. 2 inch barrel. 

Ruger Super Blackhawk 44 Mag

New model. Single action. 10 1/2 inch barrel. Near new condition. Bluing 95%. Grips have been replaced with Pachmayr Presentation grips. Wonderful pistol in near new condition.

Ruger Mark 1 Target Model 22LR

Excellent condition. Bluing 90-95%. 6 7/8 inch barrel. Pistol appears to be in great firing condition. Original grips. Exceptionally clean with minor wear at muzzle. Has micro adjustable rear sight.

Raven Model MP-25 25 Auto Pistol

Excellent condition with minor wear from carry. Nickel finish with wood grips. Great little semi automatic pistol.

Includes: 1986 Franklin Mint/Gloria Vanderbilt plate style kitchen clock with "Thyme" and border swags of thyme and blue ribbon, gold border. Battery operated. (plate holder not included) 

Royal Albert Old Country Roses tray.  Older backstamp dates to approx. 1962.  Roses and gold scalloped border; measures 11-1/2 inches by 6-1/2 inches in very good condition - some slight pin scratches on white glaze. (plate holder not included)

Very special antique collector piece dated 1870.  Denby Pottery stoneware ink bottle measures 6 inches high by 2 3/8 inches diameter.  Brown glaze, pouring spout, very good condition.  Sharply scribed, nice heavy piece. No chips or cracks; tiny fleabite near spout.  Marked:  Vitreous stoneware, J. Bourne & Son Patenters, Denby Pottery near Derby, P&J Arnold, London England"

Unopened. Box worn but still sealed. The Jolly Roger Cap Firing All Metal Pirate Cannon actually fires harmless cannon balls. With caps and cannon balls.  Made by Callen Mfg. Corp.  Very neat old toy.
